Agence de Médecine Préventive (AMP), France

The Agence de Médecine Préventive (AMP) is a French not-for-profit organisation which has had extensive experience of conducting vaccine-related research in West Africa since 1971.

It specialises in operational research in resource-poor settings through European-African partnerships. The headquarters of AMP are at the Institut Pasteur in Paris; there are regional and national offices in Ouagadougou and Bobo-Dioulasso (Burkina Faso), Benin, Ivory Coast and Senegal.

In West Africa, AMP has excellent contacts with national public health institutions, health authorities and international health organisations, and maintains a West African professional network through training courses in epidemiology and vaccine management (IEIDA, EPIVAC). AMP is a member of several technical expert groups of the World Health Organization.
