Graduate Research Assistant Vacancy
Applications are invited for a one-year fixed-term post of Graduate Research Assistant in Molecular Microbiology (Characterisation of Neisseria from the meningitis belt) in the University of Oxford Department of Zoology. The position is available immediately.
The individual appointed will work within the context of a large multidisciplinary group involved in state-of-the-art genetic analysis of Neisseria populations and their relationship to human disease. They will be responsible for the receipt and genetic characterisation of samples from the African partners of the MenAfriCar consortium and will work with scientists on secondment from the consortium.
The postholder will be based in the Department of Zoology and will be responsible to Professor MCJ Maiden.
